Sans (“Sans,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Interface Logic Studio. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Sans website and application (the “Service”).
Information we collect
When you use Sans, we may collect the following information:
- Google account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile information associated with your Google account.
- Gmail newsletter data. With your permission, Sans accesses your Gmail account using read-only access (
gmail.readonly). We fetch emails that appear to be newsletters and store their content (including subject, sender, body, and received date) so you can read them in Sans. - Usage and sync data. We store information about your account sync status, such as when your inbox was last synced and any sync errors.
- Technical data. Like most web services, our hosting providers may automatically collect standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate you and maintain your account
- Sync and display your newsletter emails in Sans
- Keep track of read and archived status within Sans
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- Respond to support requests
Sans uses read-only Gmail access. We do not send emails, modify your Gmail mailbox, or take actions on your behalf in Gmail.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We use third-party services to operate Sans, including Google (for authentication and Gmail access), Supabase (for authentication and database storage), and Vercel (for hosting). These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the Service.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Data retention
We retain your account and synced newsletter data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account or revoke Sans's access to your Google account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
Your choices and rights
- You can revoke Sans's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at hi@interfacelogic.studio.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Sans is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
